Monkey Banana Chocolate Bars Cake Recipe
This Monkey Banana Chocolate Bars Cake recipe is really wonderful. The result is different from regular banana bread ...the texture is a bit denser et very bar-appropriate.
I added white chocolate and sweet chocolate chips to add extra flavour & they turned out to give the whole bar a surprisingly rich taste.
Using a food processor for the wet ingredients avoids having chunks of bananas, which would be more banana bread-like than monkey bar-like, but it's up to you ....These bars are flavorful, fondantes, rich and absolutely delicious.
I tried to freeze a bunch of them & them reated very well ...I am currently doing some homemade vanilla
ice cream to go along with ....
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 medium bananas (3/4 - 1 cup banana)
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
-Preheat oven to 350 F.
-Lightly grease your favorite square pan.
-whisk together flour, baking soda & salt .
-In the bowl of a food processor, blend bananas until smooth. Add in melted butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
-Pour banana mixture into flour mixture and stir until just combined.
-Fold in chocolate chips.
-Pour batter into prepared pan (it will be a thin layer).
-Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, until a tester comes out dry.
-Cool completely before slicing.
Makes approx. 16 bars.
