Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Pound Cake Recipe
The Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
3 cups white sugar
5 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp instant coffee granules dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Cooking Process
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
2. Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
3. Mix together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
4. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
6. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the dissolved coffee and buttermilk.
7. Mix in the chocolate chips
8.Pour batter into prepared pan.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
10. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
Glaze:
¾ c Chocolate Chips
3 Tbsp. Butter
1 Tbsp. Light corn syrup
¼ tsp. Vanilla extract
1. Dump all into a microwave safe dish (I used a 2 cup glass measuring cup so I could pour it when it was done).
2. Microwave 45 seconds
3. Stir
4. Microwave 45 seconds
5. Stir
- continue microwaving and stirring in 15 sec. Intervals if necessary.
6. Pour/drizzle over cake
